Internet Censorship

Why: Countries ban things that they don't want their citizens to see, and what they feel is inappropriate for them to see. Also, parents, Congress, and the legislature feel that minors are getting indecent and illegal materials.This material is offensive to some people.

How: Schools and Prents can use a software, that does not allow viewers to connect with that website and view teh inappropriate material. The government can block websites.



Public Reaction: People say that the internet shouldn't be censored and we should be able to see things from hostile countries. A lot of countries agree with each other about being able to see material on the internet that the government doesn't want us to see. Some other people say that the internet censoring is definitely needed, due to the some of the inapprpriate material.




Punishment: Certain material is illegal on the internet, such as pornography or cyber bullying. If you get caught with some of the material that is being censored, the punishment can be big or small such as fines or tine behind bars.
